The Way to a Better Life

What you want from life seems to be different from what you get. The reason is that you are thinking the wrong way. Now do not get all-tense that I used the word wrong, do not take this as a personal attack, think of this as a learning experience.

What most of us were taught at a young age is that we have to work hard to get what we want. This has stuck with us throughout the years, and has come to mean that unless we work hard first we will not get what we want from life. A sad addition to that is often we work against what we do not want, rather than towards what we do want.

Because we are usually wanting either less of something or more of something, we are always keeping in mind what we do not want. Then regardless of how hard we work, we always end up with what we did not want. For example if we want less stress then we are keeping stress in the picture and will continue to receive it. Alternatively, if we want more money, we continue to keep the lack of money in the picture and so continue to experience the lack of money.

What do you want?

To get what you want you need to know what it is that you do want. Now here you must not be general, you must be specific. As explained before, wanting less or more results in keeping what you do not want. You must be specific; if you want less stress, you must actually want peace and solace. If you want more money then you must actually want a stated amount. If you are making $30,000 and a year and want more, then $30,001 is more, do you see where this is leading?

Be specific as to what you want, describe exactly what you do want. Avoid the less than or more than what you do have. As a point in fact do not concern yourself at all with what you have that you may or may not want more or less of. Ask yourself pointedly: What do you want? Do want a shorter commute? If so, you either need a new job that is closer to where you live, or a new home closer to your work. Decide what you want, otherwise you will get something you do not really want, like laid off so there is no commute.

You will get what you ask for.

Now here is a warning; you will get what you ask for, the less specific and detailed the more room for the universe to answer your request, and the more room for loose interpretation. As in the example above the request for a shorter commute was granted, but not with desirable effect. So learn now to focus on what you do want and stay clear of what you do not want.

You can have, be, and do whatever you will to.

True Happiness is There for The Taking

Regardless of what you may have been thinking you can have happiness in your life. If you feel like you are bored with your life, then you are not doing what it is that you should be doing. If you are not doing what you should be doing with your life then it is time to make a change.

If you have ever had goals or dreams and then gave them up for “real” life, you may be frustrated. You may even think you have obstacles or fears holding you back from accomplishing the goals you had. Because of this you are not happy. Well my friend, it is time to get past the obstacles and make your dreams happen.

Your life is yours to live

All of us have a passion about something, be it gardening, child care, rocket surgery, and what have you. Do you know your passion? It is your passion that will bring you true happiness, so you need to discover what your passion is and bring it to fulfillment.

We all are seeking happiness, some of us get temporary highs and think this is happiness, it is close but not good enough. Like the athletes who runs a race, their body gives them a big dose of endorphins, and they feel good. They enjoy the high and think this is true happiness, then the endorphins wear off and so does their happiness.

The way to get your true happiness is to find your passion and do it, both as a way to make you happy and as a career. Every passion has the capability of making money, we should not sit around and avoid our passion because we might think we cannot financially survive on it. We can survive, if we figure out the angle to make it happen we will more than survive, we will thrive.

Seeking out your purpose

One way to discover your passion is to do long hours of therapy and counseling. Another is to get feedback from friends and family as to what they think you are good at, and another is to seek the answer from yourself.

One of the best and cheapest ways to seek the answer from yourself is to meditate. Now don’t go getting all tense because of a word, stay with me for a moment and you will discover a secret.

Many people associate meditation with a religion and so think it is wrong as you would be unfaithful to your religion. Using meditation does not mean you belong to a cult, or some other strange and mysterious sect. Meditation is a tool, nothing more. For those who think they are doing anything religiously wrong are simply missing out on something extremely important.

Meditation can help you bring true happiness into your life, and the practice could be exactly what you need to balance out your life. Meditation is one of the most effective ways to change your well being, and it has been proven that meditation generates brain activity on the left side, which produces a positive emotion in the body.

Your life is your happiness

Seeking answers from your self will lead to better and more productive results. It is your life, and to be happy requires you to live your life the way you want to live it, not the way others think you should no matter how well intentioned they are.

If your mom wants you to work at the post office, and you want to be a rocket surgeon, what will happen to your life if you live like your mom wants you too. Will you be happy, or will your mom be happy? While working for the post office may make a decent living you will not be doing what your passion is, you will not have true happiness.

You, and you alone are inside your skin, and you and you alone feel the emotions that are inside you. If I eat a pizza, do you feel full? You must live for you and your happiness.

Habitual Weight Loss

Everybody has habits; we are built to have habits. Sort of like a car is built to run on four tires, and if one of them is missing the ride is seriously off. We humans are similar, we have habits, and if one of them is missing, we do not function correctly.

Weight loss is one of those habits we need. There are a lot of people out there with weight gain habits right now. They are overweight and out of shape because they have adopted the wrong habits.

You cannot quit a habit

As I was alluding to before, you have a set amount of habits; this is the way you are built to function. You have good habits and bad habits, and will always have habits. You can no sooner quit a habit than you can quit having skin.

To change your life you have to change your habits. This is especially true for weight loss. You have a bad habit of eating too much of the wrong stuff, you cannot quit, as it is a habit. The only way to “get rid of” a habit is to change it.

You have to make an effort to change your habit in order to be successful at weight loss. This is true in all areas of life, but is especially effective in the weight loss area of endeavor. To lose weight, and become fit and trim, you have to change your current habits to healthy habits.

What is a habit?

A habit is something you do, and have done so many times that you don’t even think about it anymore, you just do it on automatic. It could be something simple and harmless like always putting your right shoe on first, to something that is a bit more dangerous and harmful such as eating too often and too much.

To experience successful weight loss you will need to focus on your current habit, and then change it to a good habit. Let us say that right now your habit is poor diet, you eat too much of the wrong stuff. Another habit that is a major player in people being overweight is you have a habit of not being active, that is you find something non-active to do, like watch TV.

Replace your habits to improve your life

Therefore, to improve your health and your happiness you need to improve your habits. Start small by making it a point to start eating only nutritious foods, after a few weeks it will not be so tough and will be starting to become second nature. You will even see a few pounds have left you; this is a sign that you are successfully changing your habit.

Next, add some activity into your life. If there is a repeat on TV instead of watching it, go outside and go for a walk. Again, after a few weeks of going for a walk you will find that you enjoy them and they are becoming a part of your life. You also will notice you have lost some more weight and are starting to feel better.

Keep eating reasonable meals, keep being active, and soon you will find that you have replaced your bad habits with good. You will feel right as you still have the same amount of habits, but you will be getting healthy and that will lead to having a long and happy life.

Weight Loss for a Better Future

Why worry about weight loss? One of the things that bothers a lot of people these days is how overweight they are, and how it limits their life. They can’t go to the places they want as they are too big. For example, some amusement parks now have a weight limit on who can ride certain rides. Forcing them to lose weight or not ride.

Another limiting factor of being overweight is that you can’t do things you want to do as you either are too embarrassed about your size or are not able to do the activity as it may be too strenuous and cause you to have a heart attack. This is just a way of life for you; it is a lifestyle, which is not the most enjoyable.

Remember your dreams

I am sure that you did not set your sights on becoming overweight and unhealthy. While most kids were talking of being astronauts or famous explorers, you did not talk about being overweight and watching TV for the rest of your life.

What was it you desired to be when you grew up? Have you thrown away your dreams for food? You can still be and do what you dream, and one of the first steps is weight loss.

This is now why you are looking for weight loss solutions, so that you can have a life, so that you can accomplish your dreams, and so that you can do whatever it is you want to do, or at least have the option to do it.

Weight loss simplified

You can lose weight by drastically cutting down on the amount of calories you ingest in a day. You can lose weight by exercising. Either one by themselves will make for a prolonged weight loss solution.

The best way for effective weight loss is to combine the two, eat responsibly and get active. If you want to see some pounds leaving your body, you have to do both to make the fat go away.

Calories that are not used are stored on the body for later use. If you eat and are not active you will store those calories somewhere on your body. This fat accumulates over time. When you get too much you also are at risk for many diseases like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke.

To lead a healthy life you need to lose weight and keep it off. To have you health is everything, as it is the one true thing that is yours. To throw away your health is to destroy your life, and since this is the only one you have, do not waste it.

Choose your life

There is a subtle meaning to that statement, you, and you alone choose your life. You may be overweight for a number of emotional reasons, whatever they are you need to forgive yourself, forgive all the others, forgive the hurts, and forgive the past.

You live now, and only now, you cannot change the past, so let it go into the past and stay there. You need to focus on now, and everything you do now effects your future. Decide for yourself what kind of future do you want, do you want fit and trim and happy? Or do you want unhealthy and unhappy?

Weight Loss Is Work

The ideal way to produce weight loss is through a balance of good nutrition and exercise. While this one sentence says it all, it would be an extremely short article if I did not elaborate a bit. What we are saying here is that you will have to expend some effort to accomplish your goal.

Realize the truth of weight loss; it takes effort and dedication to you to truly lose the weight and keep it off. You will have to change the way you live your life. If you are not ready to accept this fact then you will not succeed with any weight loss program you try.

Bad Diets

There are so many diet plans out there that it would take a whole book to list them all. Most of them are quite restrictive and boring. You will start with great enthusiasm as skilled copywriters usually hype the plan up. Then as you proceed, you will find that your enthusiasm wanes, and you cannot sustain such a program, as it does not offer any reward except the far distant hope of losing a few pounds.

These weight loss programs are usually only focused on eating a certain food over and over, replacing everything else you eat. Sometimes they are pills designed to remove water from your system, and sometimes they are nothing more than a way to take your money without any real permanent success. There is no such thing as something for nothing; you cannot achieve permanent weight loss with no effort.

Real weight loss

To lose weight and keep it off will require a smart, well-informed approach. You will need to find out before you start a program if it will be able to followed for a long time, usually measured in years not days. You will need to know if you can accept the changes that a particular plan suggests.

One of the big things that most weight loss plans neglect is the activity part. You will need to get some exercise. There is no way around it; if you do not increase your activity level, you will not lose weight. Now here is where you must make a careful choice as once you start you will have to do this for many years to come to achieve permanent results.

You must combine a nutritious balance diet with activity to experience real weight loss. This is the winning formula; any other plan that suggests otherwise will not work out in the end. You may get a temporary quick result, but you will gain it all back, and you will run the risk of developing health problems beyond what you may already be experiencing.

What you really don’t want to hear

The activity part of the equation is also known as exercise. For some reason people cringe at hearing that word, and pale with the prospect that they will have to do some. Get over it, anything worth having requires some effort, if you want to have a healthier you, you will need some exercise.

Exercise can be as simple as taking a daily walk to as complicated as a full gym workout, to as strenuous as participating in a sporting event. Only you can determine what the right level is for you. Also take into consideration your tolerance of other people, if you get along well with others you may very well like a gym workout, if you are competitive you may enjoy sports, and if you are a bit shy and need to spend some time with yourself you may go for the long walks.

You can do it

You are the one who got out of shape and overweight, and you are the one who will get fit and trim. You simply must desire to be healthy, and then find a weight loss plan that will both work for you and can be sustained for the rest of your life. You must change what you are doing now to become a better you, to hope to someday end the plan is to hope to fail. Fit and trim is a lifestyle, just as being overweight is a lifestyle. Which one do you want the most?

Weight Loss Success, Making it Happen

The weight loss mindset

Weight Loss and dieting are often approached with the wrong mindset; people just think from the start that they are going to fail. The reason for this is that they tried a diet or two in the past and since they did not become a super model or beefcake overnight that the diet did not work and they had failed because of the diet.

Something to understand about any plan is that you do not fail until you quit. If you have a setback, or you are not losing weight fast enough, just keep going with it. As long as you are working towards your weight loss and fitness goals, you are still in the game. A setback is only a learning experience and not failure. You are not a failure until you quit.

What happens to many people is that they have tried and failed many weight loss diets, and when they try the next new diet, they start with the knowledge that they will fail in this attempt as well. Unfortunately this is a self-fulfilling prophesy, because they will fail. They have gotten used to quitting and are ready to accept their fatness as their future, and would rather not make the effort to change their life.

A success is a change in life

That is what a successful weight loss program is, a change in life. Face it; if you keep doing what you are doing, you will get the same result. If you want something different you have to do something different, and so it goes. Many people quote Henry Ford when he said, “whether you think you can or you think you can’t, your right”.

If you want to lose weight and get healthy then you must make a lifelong commitment. There is no “lose a few pounds” and go back to doing what you were doing before, you simply gain the weight right back. To successfully lose the weight you must change your behavior for the rest of your life. For weight loss to be permanent, you must make a permanent change in the way you live your life.

Of course, if you think you are going to fail at the next diet you will, you are dooming yourself to failure before you even start, so why bother. Think about why none of the other diets have worked for you. Is it because you started and then quit at the first sign of difficulty? Please realize that the difficulty is a good sign, that you are making a change. The change is not measured in pound but in happiness.

You started the weight loss program because you were not happy with the self that you have, yet your inner habits do not want to change because it fears success. Do not fear successes, success is only a journey, the rewards are long lasting. If you lose the weight and get fit, you will be a lot happier, not to mention healthier.

Lose Weight with a Good Plan not Will Power

Losing weight is not hard
Sure, it requires effort and takes a while but it is not hard. A reason that many people start and fail so many diets and fitness programs is because they fail to realize it is a lifetime commitment. They got fat and out of shape because they chose a set of habits that caused them to be where they are now. To lose weight and stay fit requires that one choose a different lifestyle. If you start a diet or fitness program, you stay with it for the rest of your life.

Maybe people think that they only need to diet for a few weeks and then when they have lost a few pounds they can get off the diet and go back to what they were doing before. When they do, they gain the weight right back and then declare that the diet did not work. The diet did work to help them lose weight, but their lifestyle helped them gain it back again.

When you start a diet or an exercise program, you must be prepared to stick with it for life. This means that to lose weight you will have to change your habits. You will have to exchange your sets of behaviors for new sets of behaviors, and this will cause you to live a happy, healthy, contented life.

Strike a balance
You will have to strike a new deal with yourself, to lose weight you will need to learn some new life skills, you will also want to do some of the old activities as well as your new activities. So to make it easier on you choose a exercise that is fun for you, be it team sports, hiking, mountain climbing, skiing, cycling, or whatever you choose, as long as it is something you will truly enjoy.

To lose weight and keep it off you need to grasp the concept that making a long-term healthy lifestyle change is essential. You can no longer accept that once you have started you can quit and go back to the way you used to behave.

That is why so many people fail their diets is because they think that a diet is temporary when it is not. You need a diet to lose weight, and you need a sustainable diet for keeping the pounds off once they are gone.

Sure all that fast food tastes good, but so does that good food. You must simply replace one for the other, and the fast food becomes a monthly or weekly treat not the main diet. Find a diet that is a good fit for you; ask yourself if you could eat this kind of food or in this manner for the rest of your life. Once you discover a diet and exercise plan that seems to work for you stick with it. It took a while for you to develop bad habits; it will take a while to replace those bad habits with good ones. You may make minor changes along the way, as you may find that you like jogging better than biking, or you may like your fruit in a shake instead of a bowl and so on.

If you stay with the plan, it becomes easier and easier until it is second nature and you will wonder how you ever lived life before.

You Can Lose Weight With A Plan

When it comes to weight loss, most people have a very skewed view of what it takes to lose weight. Why is it that so many people end up quitting their fitness and weight-loss programs before they see positive results? The answer is that it is not immediate gratification. We have become so used to getting what we want exotically when we want it that we no longer practice long term goal setting. We figure if we cannot do it now, then it is not worth the effort.

While it would be nice to lose weight instantly it is not realistic, after all you did not gain it instantly. Now there are a lot of ads out there that make it seem that you can shed those pounds and have the body of a super model just by taking a pill, so people try them, and when they do not wake up the next day with a new body, they give up. Face it; to lose weight is going to take time and effort.

The first thing on your list of things to do should be to visit your doctor to make sure that a diet plan and exercise program will be compatible with you. Just because you read on the label or the cover that the program will make you look like a super stud overnight does not mean it is right for you. You may have some underlying problem that if you did go on this type of diet it could turn out to be quite dangerous to your health.

Now, realize a simple truth; overnight success takes a while. Look at all those football stars that seem to have appeared overnight and are making million dollar contracts. While it may be perceived that they were overnight success stories, if you dig a little deeper you will see that they had a lifetime of football. They have been playing since they were old enough to catch the ball, then played peewee league, high school and college football before they were picked for the pro league. Yet we do not see that, all we see is some person who is making a huge sum for playing a game and we call him lucky, and an overnight success. So as you can see, overnight success takes a while.

The same is going to be true for you when you begin your weight loss routine. It will take many days of effort, many weeks of maintaining your plan, and many months of sticking to it. Then one day after about a year someone will come up to you and mention how you look like you have dropped a few pounds and are looking good, then they will think your weight loss was overnight. You must be ready for the long haul of changing your life and losing weight. It will be a lifetime commitment to yourself.

To lose weight you have to make an effort to control your food intake. You will have to learn some new skills when it comes to food, like what is good for you and what is not, how many calories in that food and how much fat in that one and so on. You will decrease your caloric intake every day, and this will start you on the path to weight loss. Then you will need to become active in some way, and this will help burn off those pounds rather than add them to you. Weight loss at first may seem a daunting task but with educated effort and the realization that you are going down a different path for the rest of your life you will have healthier weight loss that will be permanent.

You can lose weight if you are willing to find a realistic plan and the stick with it for the rest of your life. You may not realize this but you did have a plan to get fat. You chose to eat too much and not exercise; you chose the get fat plan for your life. You got fat with a plan and you will remain fat for the rest of your life if you do not change your plan to that of a healthy one. You now need to choose to maintain your current plan and remain unhealthy and overweight, or to lose the weigh and get a physically fit body so that you can enjoy a happy life.

So choose your path, and follow it for the rest of your life, will you remain as you are unhealthy and miserable, or will you be healthy and happy? The choice is yours to make and yours to follow.

The Why of Why Diets Do Not Work for Everybody

Most people who read articles and e-books know that there are a myriad of diet and exercise plans and programs out there. Most all will work; they will get you into shape or help you shed the pounds. The reason most do not work is that the person who starts the plan does not stay with the plan.

People who are overweight or out of shape suffer those conditions because, that is the habit they have gotten into. Then when they go on a diet or a workout plan they do it for a little while, but their habits kick back in and they revert to what they were doing before. This is what usually causes diets to fail, and exercise programs to not work. Then that person who “tried” that diet will complain, “That one doesn’t work”.

Sometimes a plan will work, and the person loses the weight, then when they are “done” with the plan, they go back to their old habits and are soon just as heavy as they were before they started. Now we must ask ourselves if we can truly break a bad habit. The answer is of course a big no, you cannot break a habit.

Every person has a number of habits, some good some bad, but we all have a number of habits, and when mixed together they determine whom we are. The number differs from person to person but we all have a set number of habits. We will always have that number of habits, and while we may be able to temporarily add a habit, we will not keep it as we have exceeded out habit level.

To change yourself you need to change your habits. Since you cannot wipe out or erase a habit, you must replace it with something else. If you have a habit of sitting around for many hours a day without any exertion at all then you need to change that habit to moving yourself so that you have a habit of doing something, rather than nothing. Once your new habit is truly engrained, you will no longer have to worry about the old habit, as it has been replaced.

So what habits do you have that cause you to be overweight? Do you spend long hours on the sofa eating junk food? Do you think that if you don’t eat all that is on your plate you are wasting food? These are some of the things you must become aware of before you can be successful at losing weight, or getting into shape.

To find a diet that works for you must be willing to change your habits. Eating right is something you will have to do the rest of your life, you cannot eat right for a few weeks and then when you see the weight coming off celebrate by eating as you used to. For when you do you will get your old habits to kick back in, and it will be even harder to get back on a diet.

Sometimes finding a diet plan seems like rocket science. The sheer number of diet plans out there can really confuse a person. So one thing to consider while planning a diet is to ask yourself the question as to whether or not you can stay on the diet indefinitely. If it is one of those plans set for a few weeks, it may not be the best diet for you. You must consider that the diet you have started is actually a lifetime commitment. You do not diet and eat right, and expect to do it over night. Life, as you know, it does not work like that.

You did not get fat in one day, and it is not going to go away in one day. You developed your fat by setting a set of habits for yourself, intentionally or not you did. As time went by you reinforced those habits, and you got fat. To get slim and fit will take some new habits to replace the old habits.

The Plain Sight Secret of Life

The book “Think and Grow Rich” says that “Doing a thing well is never a trouble” and the famous football coach Knute Rockne said “The whole world loves a winner and has no time for a loser”. Now what do these two sayings have in common? They both are clues about having a successful life. The key that joins them together is that great truth of the human spirit, namely having a dream and not making the mistake of letting temporary defeat mean failure. Something that too many people do is let a minor setback stop them in their tracks and make them accept less than they originally wanted. If you have a minor setback, it is only because you made a minor error take the knowledge you just gained and do it again. Keep doing it again and again, learning from mistakes and making adjustments, and do it until you get it right. Once you can do it right, then do it well, and you will have the success you desire.

There are too many examples of failure all around us, and it may be a major reason that we are not currently happy with our current situation. We see all this failure and so compromise our dreams, and accept less than what we truly desire. We know we can have and be more, yet because we see the examples of failure and mediocrity all around us, we reason that we too must accept less than an excellent life. This is a great lie we have been told, it is a fallacy that we have come to believe because too many other people also believe it. We see many examples of “good enough” and “that’s the way it is” in our everyday life and so, we fall into the trap of letting our ambition die, and getting into the rut of habit, giving up the hope of something better.

There is a way, a better way, to change your life. You are reading this for a reason, and that reason is to give you this spark of hope, this gem of thought, this pearl of wisdom: That you can control your conditions in life, IF you choose to control them.

You do not have to settle for good enough, you do not have to accept temporary defeat as failure; you can rise above the current situation. I am sure you have probably read many lines of psychobabble that tells you that you do things because that was the way you were programmed as a child. While there is some truth to that reasoning, it is more true and definitely far more relevant to know that you have a choice. Yes you saw that correctly; “You Have a Choice” on what you do and how you do it. You are not condemned to a life of lack and poverty anymore than you are condemned to a life of mediocrity.

Why do you want to rise above your current situation? You must do it so that you can be seen by opportunity. If you are part of the crowd, blending in and keeping your head down opportunity will not see you. If on the other hand you are looking for opportunity, then you are standing straight with your head up, and are a bit different from the crowd and opportunity will see you and just as importantly you will see it, and will be willing to take the action to grab the opportunity and run with it.

Now you are probably wondering how do you rise above your current situation especially if you have been accepting mediocrity for years. The answer is easy but the action takes some effort. You need but do everything you do well. Especially at your place of employment, do your work well, and soon you will be recognized as a valuable above average employee, and now you are in a place where opportunity can see you. Continue to do everything you put your hand to well, and you will be amazed at all the good things that come into your life. When this begins to happen, you will regain the spark of hope and ambition. In this way, you will rise above your current situation and become what you want to become, because you can.

Believing That You Can Think and Grow Rich

The book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill states “no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty”. Think about that for a minute, just know that it is possible for every person to have what they think they deserve, that with the same amount of effort one could be on verge of starvation or wealthy.

What is the main difference between any two people? The answer is belief, no two people in this entire world believe in things the exact same way as another. While there is what we call accepted norms that we all try to teach our young and each other, usually based on our own belief about how things are, and how they are done. The lesson that has been neglected, that we have not been taught and have not taught, is that what we believe is possible, is. That our desire to do something is only limited by our own belief in what we can do.

If we desire something and we find a way to get it, we will repeat the behavior, when we meet with partial success, rather than modifying our approach, we simply do the same thing again. It is like the story of the two children, when one wanted something if it was not immediately provided he would lie down on the floor, kick, and scream until he was either punished or got the thing. Then there was the other child who wanted the same thing and rather than demand it be provided to him immediately would make a plan, go and earn some money and then buy it for himself. Both had a belief about how to satisfy their desire, and in practice, one would be far more successful than the other at achieving the result of obtaining the things they wanted. Can you guess which one?

One had been taught that life is hard and you don’t always get what you want, the other had been taught that you get what you want when you are ready for it. Both believed that they could indeed get things, one was a bit hit and miss the other the thing was guaranteed, just took a while longer. Therefore, it is with us today, you need to ask yourself what is it that you believe you can do. For it is this belief that drives your life that causes everything you have in life to be there. There are countless stories of people in adversity who achieve great things, blind people who become great teachers, deaf people who become great musicians, people with physical handicaps who accomplish amazing feats in sports, and so on and on, if you but look you can find these examples easily. Conversely, you can find similarly handicapped people who accomplish nothing, and never will. The difference is what they have been taught.
You can find the exact same thing with non-handicapped people; there are great achievers who have gone to great wealth, and people who live on the street. Again, the difference is only what they believe they can do, no great mystery, just belief. It is impossible for a man to go to the moon, but if you equip that man with a space suit and a space ship, now that man can go to the moon. If you can’t see to accomplish something by the direct route, such as a man jumping high enough to land on the moon, then come up with a solution to the problem and invent the spaceship. Where there is a will, there is a way.

You need to examine your beliefs, and in the words of Henry Ford; “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right”. Change your belief to be; There is no such thing as impossible, and accept no such reality as failure.

A great weakness of us humans is the habit of measuring things based on our own system of measurement. What we believe is how we measure other people and things. This bad habit must be broken, for this is one of the things that are holding us back from success. We have a bad habit of thinking that what we believe is the correct and only way of viewing things. These are the chains that bind us, in other words we are what keeps us from achieving our dreams.

In the book Think and Grow Rich, the author tells the story of how Henry Ford thought of and desired an eight-cylinder engine, and how his engineers said it was impossible. The short version of this story goes that because Henry was persistent, even against the advice of his engineers, that the eight-cylinder engine was indeed invented. What we have to do is take from that example that what we can conceive we can achieve if we are persistent.

The consciousness we carry around with us is what we use to measure all other things with, and this is what must be examined. Think and Grow Rich tells us that we must change our failure consciousness into success consciousness. To do that we must change how we measure things. For example, in the book Think and Grow Rich there is a story of how a young Chinese man came to America to study. When he met President Harper he was asked what impressed him about the American people, and the young man replied that American eyes are off slant. Hmmm, a prime example of foolishly measuring with our own limitations, it is a mistake to assume that our own standard is the correct standard.

The book Think and Grow Rich also points out that we refuse to believe what we do not understand. Most of us think that what they believe is the only and correct way to measure people, places and things with. While if we simply do not try to measure then we do not limit what we can believe and if there is no limit then we can be and do anything that we can think of. We need to simply stop measuring things with our own standard, next time you meet someone try to see their soul, rather than body shape, color, dress, eyes, or any physical part of them. When you talk with that person, listen to the actual words they speak and not what you think you hear.

As an example, let us say that a person refuses to believe that the sky is blue. This person will argue with you until the sun sets that you are wrong for believing the sky is blue, and that your belief in a blue sky is what makes you all screwed up. While you on the contrary believe his view that the sky is not blue makes him all screwed up, and that he needs to change his belief. Of course, this is a rather silly example but it is far more educational than to use a religious or political belief as the example, for had such a view been used then the point of the conversation would have been lost. Because when a point of belief is made, then those of an opposing view immediately would get defensive and offensive. Their internal dialog would kick in with the old “how can he say that?” argument, and as in the blue sky argument above there would be no resolution, and you would miss the point entirely that you should not be measuring with your beliefs...

Two of the questions that many people are asking is why even do this manifesting thing? What does manifesting have to do with me and the way I live? Those question both imply that you don’t need to or have to try to manifest anything as you are fine the way you are and don’t need anything better.

Whether you choose to believe it or not you are always manifesting, you bring into your life what you choose. Unfortunately most people do not realize this and so they continue to bring more of what they don’t want into their lives. To truly use the skill of manifesting is the conscious creation of your environment and the way you live. If your life sucks then you need to learn and master the skill of manifesting.

So that brings us back to the question; why? Well as I explained you are manifesting all the time anyway, so instead of just hoping for the best, the trick would be to use it to your advantage. Learn how to direct the source of power inside you and use it for your own self interest so that you get what you really want instead of more crap.

Imagine if you will that you have a nice car, a nice place to live in a nice neighborhood, and you never have to worry about the bills being paid or not having the things you desire. You have those nice clothes, the friendly neighbors, good food that you like on the table and lots more in the fridge, that you have a career that you enjoy, that your friends and family enjoy your benevolence and love. You can have all that and more if you just start to use the manifesting skill for your good and better self.

So how do you do this? First be aware that you are in control of your own life. It may not seem like it right now as you have lived so long the way you are, rest assured it is not your fault. You were never taught anything else. Becoming aware of the fact that you can recreate your life will open the doors of opportunity and this in turn will set you on a new path to a better life of your choosing.

Next, find a teacher. The saying goes that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. This is so true, when you need a councilor, or a coach, or someone to show you the way, that person will be provided to you by the higher power. It is the way of the universe and if you seek you will find.

So do you think you can start making a better life for yourself and those around you? Do you want a better life? You are reading this for a reason, the higher power has shown you a clue to help you and guide you. It is time to take action and begin to discover a whole new world and better life by the conscious and deliberate use of manifesting.

How Do You Manifest?

We all know that using the power of the law of attraction is called manifesting. The question is, therefore, how do you do this manifesting thing? Well here is a long winded short version of the answer. Let us start with a clarification. The biggest influences that we can use are our own thoughts. Actually in particular, we can use our thought process, because thoughts influence our feelings and have a profound effect on how we deal with life in general.

Wow, that was a mouthful, essentially what we are saying here is that by learning to control our thoughts we get control over what we desire, and we start manifesting more of what we do want, and not what we don’t want. One of the tools that we can and should be using is called self-talk. Self talk it the stuff that runs around in our heads while we go about the day. This is where you rerun events that have occurred, and play out future endings and alternatives over and over and over.

Let me point one out that has been seen a lot, your boss has a harsh word with you, so afterwards so you replay it in your mind, then you play out scenarios where you do the exact minimum required for the job or even think of being destructive to something at the work place, and even to future argue successfully that its all their fault that you performed this way. Associated with those thoughts come some emotions, usually anger and smug satisfaction that you were right and should never have gotten chewed out in the first place.

Well that is self talk and plays a huge part in manifesting. That is why so many of us have crappy lives as we have been manifesting the wrong thing. So what we must do is take those negative self talk moments and turn them into positive self-talk. We all do this self talk, most people do it unconsciously throughout the day, if you can become aware of this, become aware of your self talk moments, then you can make manifesting work for you and you can gain more control over every aspect of your life and then manifest the things you really desire.

Use Your Mind

Now I know this next part is obvious, but it still needs to be said. “Your ability to succeed in life largely depends on how you deal with life". You need to read that again, positive self talk leads to a confident and ultimately more successful person than one full of negativity which leads to a miserable life. When you catch yourself doing the negative self talk thing, be aware that you are manifesting. Then ask yourself “what are you manifesting?” Realize that you are creating your future with your self talk and you should use that energy to be positive and manifest what you desire rather than manifest more crap into your life. By taking a positive attitude you look at life in a different way, it lead to seeing the good in people and the world, which in turn leads to optimism and success.

Now we must make another obvious statement, “Your quality of life is based on how you think and feel from moment to moment”, the key here is being aware of what you are thinking and feeling. When you think with emotion you are manifesting, you absolutely have to be careful of what you are thinking and feeling because you will get more of it. If you are thinking angry thoughts you will get more to be angry about, if you think loving thoughts you will get more to love. Basically changing the way you think can drastically change how you see and deal with life.

So what have we learned? That the person who goes through life optimistically with a positive attitude is better able to deal with life, and will see the problem for what it is, nothing but a temporary set-back which they can overcome and move on, is able to take full control over their thoughts and feelings and turn a negative situation into a more positive one by simply altering the way they think. Whew, that was a long sentence. Remember that using your thoughts with emotion is manifesting, and since thoughts can either be positive or negative and you can only have one thought in mind at any one time then choosing positive will keep your thoughts, feelings and actions optimistic that allows you to manifest good things into your life which ultimately leads to a happier you.

Overcome the Fear of Self Improvement

People are usually afraid of things they do not understand. When you hear the term “self Improvement” people get all jumpy and defensive. Why? They are afraid of self-improvement because of this fear of the unknown. To proceed with anything in life is self-improvement, to learn more about a subject is self improvement, to exercise, eat right, drive safely, and just about anything else in your life you desire to change is self improvement. may help you in this situation.

In self-improvement you are simply changing yourself for the better. So, to understand is to remove fear. Said another way; the best way to remove fear is to understand. You may already know that life is always in a continual cycle, of ups and downs, good times and bad times, and so forth. Just keep in mind that normally no one is permanently up or permanently down. Those who get stuck in a “down” often are thought of needing self improvement, but you need constant self improvement to just live life, regardless of you situation. In life no one can avoid these ups and downs it is the way life is. However by constant self improvement your life will have shorter downs and longer ups.

What people should do about these downs is to learn from them, the lesson is to understand that without constant growth you are no longer alive. Think about this: Life is growth. If a tree stops producing new leaves it is considered dead, if a rose no longer produces buds and is just a bunch of grey thorny sticks, it is considered dead. To prove that it is alive the tree and the rose must always continue to produce, or grow, new leaves, branches, and so it is growing. When the growing stops it is a sure sign that life has ended. We humans are the same, no we don’t grow leaves or buds, and we produce results. Such as we produce cooked meals for our family, or produce products for our employer, or produce love and comfort for our significant other. We are always producing something and in this measure we are alive.

When we stop being useful and helpful we are no longer living like we should. So we need to use a little self improvement to change what we are doing so that we again produce. An example is in order here. Let us say that your hobby is knitting, and during the winter you knitted every body you know a pair or mitten, because you are good at it and like to do it. Then comes spring, not a whole lot of need for mittens, so you begin to feel useless, and experience a down moment in your life. What to do now? You ask. Well, you learn something new, put it into practice and produce something else. Continuing with the example you learn a new stitch and start making grill pads for everyone so they have a place to set those hot pans without melting the table underneath. You just committed self improvement! Does this mean you should start to learn knitting? No, if knitting is your thing then carry on, but you may have other things you do, such as auto detailing, carpentry, bicycle repair, and so on. Some people even find a way to make a living with their hobby.

So do not fear self improvement, the term means only what it says. Improving yourself. Maybe this year you’ll run a marathon, grow a black rose, solve the world peace problem, grow the perfect tomato, or get the promotion at work. All you need is a little self improvement, and that usually starts with reading something that leads to learning something that leads to doing something.

We all have problems that affect us every day. These problems bring us misery due to the fact that we just don’t know what to do. We should never loose hope, where there is life there is hope, all we need is a little self help in figuring out solutions to these problems. “All we need is to learn how to overcome it and not to be overcome.”

Self-improvement should not wait for the last moment; you should always be looking for skills to learn and things to do. To stop learning is always for the worse and consequently, you will let go of a chance, an opportunity, because you are afraid to take a risk.

Keep in mind that, from time to time, something has to happen in order to free you from monotony, so don’t be surprised if, at a certain moment in time, instead of being afraid of change, you desire it with all your heart.

Self-improvement is not a bad thing; it is not to be feared. You will understand that you are alive and to prove it to the world you will keep growing, and producing. Then when you see your self slowing down or stopping you simply apply a bit of that self improvement stuff again and you are back in the game again.

Low Self Esteem

Low self esteem has never helped anyone, and it sure will not help you. It can only drive you into depression, anger, fear and a poor quality of life.

The way you think about yourself is the determining factor of how you interact with others.

What are some examples of low esteem, these are not all inclusive, just some of the common symptoms.
You are afraid to converse with others for fear that what you say will not be accepted.
You believe that you are not attractive.
You choose something and it turns out to be the worst one.
Nothing you do seems to go right
You believe that most people do not like you.
You feel swallowed up in a whirlpool of frustration.

Let us discuss some of the origins of low self esteem. Low self esteem usually started in childhood when children were made to believe that they were worthless. Their self confidence was eroded and they succumbed to the idea that they could never achieve success in anything that they did. This left a lot of low self esteem and resentment.

If that was your experience, it is time you cut yourself loose from that mindset and start your self improvement. Start reading about the life of successful persons and you will soon discover that many of them had such low self esteem that they could not even complete an elementary education.

So you ask “What can I do?” The answer is changing your thoughts; it is actually what you think that is the problem.

Understand that those behaviors listed above are thoughts; they are only aspects in your mind that you need improvement on. Do not let low self esteem ruin your life, be determined to improve your self esteem and you are on your way to a better quality of life.

It may seem easier said than done, but what you need to do is stop thinking that the world is against you. Get determined to achieve what you desire. Stop blaming other people for your misfortunes. The world is not your problem, the hard truth is that you are your problem.

From this moment on, realize that you must begin the process of self esteem improvement. Think the right way and be determined to win, and win you will. Just remember that success never comes easily and that is why determination is the counterpart of desperation.

Oftentimes, one gets to the brink of success and with just a little disappointment or setback, they lose heart and give up too easily and too soon. There is a story in the book “Think and Grow Rich” about a man who quit just three feet away from gold, a parable about the lesson of not quitting. Too many people give up, who knows what great things might have achieved if only they had persevered a little longer.

With low self esteem, your life could be rather boring. Change your thinking, and you will begin to see improvement in your life. Make a very special effort to be what you really want to be.

You are the one in control of your life and you have to seriously decide either to remain in a miserable state of low self esteem, or develop a high self esteem with good character and self image.

Many decided to override their low self esteem and improve their attitude, whatever it took. They became some of the greatest men and women that ever lived.

Re-program your thinking and control your state of mind. You must believe that you are worth much more than you think or you will remain at the foot of the ladder and never make an attempt to climb it.

Do not waste your life away with feelings of inadequacies. Instead, think of ways to go about improving your self esteem. Success is yours, just reach out and grasp it.

you have to or want to, in today's "high-tech" society with
its "high-tech" mentality, it's real easy to overlook some
tried-and-true "low-tech" sources of fast jobs...

Here are three of the best:

Fast Job Source #1 - People You Know

I've heard that as many as 80% of all jobs are obtained
through other people, not advertising. Based on the people I
know who have jobs, I'd have to say that number is fairly
accurate, if not a tad on the low side. That being the case,
if you're looking to get a job fast, your single, number one
best job source is the people you know.

Therefore, the most efficient and effective thing you can do
to get a job fast is to call everyone you know and I do mean
*everyone* - friends, relatives, neighbors, acquaintances,
people you know from clubs and organizations, former co-
workers, and yes, even former employers (assuming you left
them on good terms) - to let them know you're seeking
employment, ask them if they know of anyone hiring, and, if
they don't, if they'd be willing to ask around for you
(don't forget to follow-up with them if they say yes).

Fast Job Source #2 - Newspapers

Believe it or not, there are many small business owners, the
largest creators of jobs there are, who can barely turn on a
computer, let alone post a job listing online. Thus, they
still rely on good old-fashioned newspapers to advertise job
openings.

The employment or "help wanted" section of the good old
Sunday newspaper is still one of the best sources of job
openings there is, but don't ignore the daily, weekly,
monthly, and even the "shopper" type papers as they're often
equally as good, sometimes even better, sources.

Fast Job Source #3 - Signs

Just the other day, I was talking with a gal who told me, "I
can't find a job anywhere, no one's hiring." "Do you ever go
to __________?" I asked her. "Yea, I go there every
morning," she said. "What about __________?" I asked. "I'm
in there once or twice a week," she replied.

"Well," I told her, "both of them have great big signs on
their doors that read *Now Hiring*."

Her somewhat sheepish reply?

"Oh, I didn't see them."

Why didn't she see them, you ask?

Simple...

She wasn't looking for them. :-)

My advice?

Don't let that be you!

How to Forget

Something that we all do is to allow our past to influence our future. You can see examples of it everywhere you look. Yes, some things do have an effect on your future, but those things do not hold you back, they just change the course you must take.

There are many effective methods of memory training that are currently around and are offered to the public, but, to the best of my knowledge, there is no course teaching one how to forget. So today’s lesson is about how to forget the right way.

Let us build on the statement that it is the memories of the past and the fear of the future which make our present so difficult. We all know we only live in the present; you can not change the past, so why should you allow the past to affect your present? One of the main reasons why it is so hard to maintain positive thoughts in our minds, is our memories of our past hardships and failures. If your life has been a difficult one, you are likely to have a conflict of mental pictures, so when you try to visualize success your memories of the past come flooding in and seriously cripple your efforts. This means that your recalling of unpleasant situations from the past neutralizes the success for your future.

So now you understand why it is so important to develop your faculties of forgetting, but you have to forget in the proper way or you will end up making the mistakes of the past all over again. It is important to develop the ability to remember, you must discover the correct method of recalling so that your present life will not be controlled by events you no longer can control.

Let us examine the statement: You Are What You Think You Are! The impression you have of yourself is the accumulation of your experiences so far acquired throughout this lifetime. Since most people are inclined toward the negative side, it is most likely that you have a negative impression of yourself. In other words, you think of yourself as being destined by fate to live a hard life; and therefore, you do. Because what you think is what you are.
So what we need is a mental eraser. Just think if you had a mental eraser and could remove all of the unpleasant, negative pictures of your life, and then replace them with positive ones, then your future would be successful and happy. Now I know you will lose no time in using your mental eraser, once you have it, however there is one point that must be made clear: The memories and pictures of your past should be erased only as far as they affect your present activities, not completely removed from your memory.

During my life I have had many experiences, some very some bitter, and some very sad, and others excruciatingly painful, and through these experiences learned many things the hard way. Having said that, I wouldn't part with those memories now, they are what I was and did, not who I am and where I am going. These memories serve not as a guide but as a way of judging my progress; I can fully appreciate what I have, by comparing my present with my past.

So we now have this provocative dilemma: We should retain mental pictures of past experiences as a means of comparison; yet at the same time we should erase negative mental pictures so that positive ones may take over. You now ask; “How do we do this?” So let us get to the matter at hand.

Let us start with an overview of the process and then work into some details. The main idea and goal of solving this problem is to take all pictures of former events, unpleasant ones in particular, and place them in a separate memory files for future reference purposes only. We then edit all new pictures seeking admittance into our conscience, and quickly refuse those which might have a negative effect on our lives. An example is the old family album. In it you find pictures of great grandpa wearing what look to be very stuffy clothes and holding a lantern, and great grandmother cooking on a wood stove, or hand washing the laundry. You also find baby pictures of family members now long grown up, wearing cloth diapers, and pictures of children playing, and so on. None of us would like to look the way, or dress the way they did in the “old days" but it is nice to have the pictures as a means of comparing the past with the present.

You gain knowledge through past mistakes, so you must remember only the lesson, and not the pain. The word “If” is an important word here; it is the word that is the catalyst which will join your past experiences with future failure or success. There is no difference in external conditions; the difference is in the mind. If you accept the mental pictures of disaster (and, as you know thoughts are pictures and pictures are patterns) then there is nothing you can do but fail. However if you use your mental eraser, and erase the disaster pictures, taking care to put a copy in your mental album for future reference, and replace them with success pictures then there is nothing you can do but succeed.


So now to the nitty gritty part of the lesson, an exercise; we will begin thinking about thinking. As you think about thinking you will experience a great revelation: You will begin to get a glimpse of the gigantic reservoir of power you have at your command. Start off by examining every thought you have, some use pen and paper to help keep track, do as you will, but you must do this exercise. While examining your thoughts, begin to classify them as negative, positive, destructive, constructive, and so forth. Then the next step is to become very critical about the thoughts you allow to enter your mind. Each time you find a picture coming into consciousness which has any connection at all with failure, illness, or gloom, remove it.

There are two methods of removing these thoughts, find the one that works for you and use it often. The first method is to “fire” it. When a negative thought enters into your consciousness say to it firmly “cancel” (of course there are other more “fun” explicative’s but we cant list them here) and then change your thought to what you do desire. If the same thought keeps trying to come back fire it again and again as many times as you have to. Eventually this thought will no longer return and the new thought you used to replace it will come around often.

The next method requires more effort, when a negative thought enters your mind, capture it and examine it. Look at the details and find out what is false about it, what is silly, what is outrageous, and in so doing remove from it its power to affect your life, then bend it twist and force it to show the correct picture you desire. Bit by bit change its existence from a negative thought to a positive one.

Let us use an example to further illustrate the exercise. Let us say you have an important meeting coming up, a job interview for instance, and you begin to have negative thoughts. In the first method when the thought comes in “they wont hire me because…” and you see yourself walking away dejected and disappointed, you firmly say “Cancel” and then affirm instead that they will hire you as you are the best candidate for the position, and see yourself signing the hiring papers. You do this over and over until you have the correct feeling of confidence that they will indeed hire you. In the second method you when the same negative comes into your mind, you look at the picture, why are you walking away? Why are you dejected? And so on, then bit by bit change the picture to you are walking away exited, elated and happy, you got the job and for better pay than you asked for.

Just because you have failed at the same task in the past does not mean you will fail today, change the picture by using your mental eraser and soon you will find that the past is just that, the past, and your present is happy and your future is now looking brighter.

Think of this lesson as something far greater than just words on a screen, think of this as your newest key to abundance. Think of it as the password to a more enjoyable life. Allow yourself actually to sparkle with enthusiasm, become eager to prove that the principles outlined here will be just as effective for you as they have been for others. Then use the tactics you have just discovered, to do nothing will get you nowhere. You'll end up saying: "I read the article and didn't get a thing out of it," and it will be true.

Things begin to happen when you see them happening. This of course, refers to good and bad things. If you see dismal things happening, you are directing them to come into existence, causing the pictures to become realities. Be thankful, however, that the reverse is true. When you see good things happening, you are directing your forces to make those pictures realities.

Think about thinking! Erase all pictures which might have come into your mind because of the day's experiences. Replace them with mental pictures of the things that you desire to happen. Here we must cover one finale point: Avoid reverse positives. Sometimes a positive affirmation can be negative in results. As an example, assume that you are working a routine to overcome shyness. The mantra: "I will overcome my shyness," is a positive statement, but it creates a negative condition. It gives emphasis to the fact that you are timid and makes your condition all the more real. Instead, affirm that you like people and like to talk to people. There is nothing at all negative about such a statement.

Here is the formula to follow in creating mental pictures that will not react in a negative manner: Picture the condition you desire; not the condition you are attempting to overcome. To say: "I will not fail" is negative; to say: "I am a success" is positive. The thought: "I will not be weak" is negative, whereas the expression: "I am getting stronger every day" is positive.

Practice the exercises given, with the assurance that the results will lift you to whatever heights you choose. You can be and do whatever you will to.

How to Be Healthy

Have you ever known anyone who when you describe an ailment of any type begins to feel the symptoms and think they are sick? How about the old exercise where everyone cooperates to convince someone they are sick, by asking them if they are ok, as they look like death warmed over? Even though the person is fine he or she gets convinced they are sick and so go home early feeling rather ill. Well this is your mind at work, proving that it is your mind that controls your health.

To state the obvious; today’s discussion will be about health and physical well being. Just to cover the bases; start out by having your doctor give you a thorough examination. If the doctor finds anything basically wrong with you, have it taken care of, and then apply the principles we are discussing today.

There are a lot of people who have an illness consciousness. They continually fear that some new ailment is developing in them. First we must understand there is intelligence in every cell of your body, and because of this, mental pictures of ailments of various sorts will actually transmit the message to your cells with the result that you will always be feeling all the aches and pains you can think of. In short holding mental pictures of illness will, during the process of cell renewal, bring weaker cells into being, causing you to be and stay ill.

So what we need to do is develop our mental picture of radiant health. At first see yourself continually getting better and better in every respect. Add in to your daily routine that you are getting stronger every day, say it, sing it, feel it. Then instead of looking for ailments, notice how much better you are getting. When you wake in the morning your first words should be that you are glad to be alive, then take a second and feel your existence and say you are getting better everyday. Enjoy the great feeling of being healthy. When you go to bed at night pause and think how good it will be to arise and start another challenging day of exciting activity, with your new strength and health.

OK, now you ask “that is all well and good, but what is radiant health?” This is a fair question, the answer is simple, radiant health is what you think it is. If you can not see a picture of radiant health, go to the store and get one of those fitness magazines, look through the pictures until you find one that looks like radiant health to you. Cut out that picture, find a picture of you and tape your face on the picture. Post the picture where you will see it every day. By holding that picture of radiant health in your mind, you will soon grow into it. Soon is a relative term, if you are very unhealthy right now, it may take a year of effort to get to radiant health, and if you are just a bit out of shape it may take only a few weeks or months. Know this, if you hold the picture of radiant health in your mind every day, you will certainly attain it.

By holding the mental picture of radiant health in your mind you command the subconscious to build your body healthy. Your subconscious will take the command and transmit it to your cells and also guide you guide you in thought and action so that good health will be a reality. Understand that good health is your rightful heritage. Along with your other objectives, hold pictures of your physical being as glowing with radiant health. Know with a certainty that your subconscious will encourage your mind and will guide you in thought and action so that you will do the things necessary for good health. You will naturally tend to both diet and physical exercise, and this will have the effect of giving you buoyancy and vitality to carry through on all the other the objectives you are visualizing.

As an example most people, as they approach the seventy year mark, develop an age consciousness. They feel they are too old to start this, or to do that. It seems that we are taught that the normal lifespan is about seventy years, the question is “Why only seventy years?” We see on the news every day of people celebrating a hundred years, the president sends out centurial certificates every day, if they can live to be over a hundred so can you. Determine your own life span, set it for what you feel in fair, and then don’t worry about growing old.

I personally have set my life span for 200 years, and I am living accordingly. Now I feel better, physically and mentally, than I have at any time in my life. Perhaps I may not live to be 200, but I will not shorten my life through fear of old age and death. I personally intend to keep busy, and happy, until the grim reaper comes. When the grim reaper does come for me I intend to wrestle my way out of that situation, not hide and beg, and if the reaper wins it was a fair fight, if I win I might live forever.

So to get back on subject; what you have just learned in this discussion is not for temporary use. What you have discovered and learned is a new principle of life. Something to be used every day for the rest of your life, if you draw breath, then you continue to use the mental picture of radiant health to keep yourself healthy. Again; you have gained some new tools which will make your achievement assured and certain of accomplishment.

There is an old saying; “Knowing is half the battle” and it is. What most do not realize is that action is the other half. Knowledge is of no value unless you make use of it. Make use of this knowledge now, start developing the ability to create mental pictures of what you want and avoid the fear that you'll fail to achieve them. With this knowledge, and a little practice you can be and do anything you will.

Mastering this technique will be like being the heir to a tremendous warehouse that has everything you have ever desired, with the knowledge that all of it is yours; merely for the taking.
