Do Not Criticize

This is one key to a successful life: "Do not criticize anyone". When you criticizes others you weaken yourself. However the person who is critical of theirself from moment to moment is a giant.

To be successful in life. If you truly want to be successful, you should begin by being honest with yourself, recognizing your own behavior. When we recognize
our behavior we are on the path to correcting it. Everyone who corrects their own behavior is inevitably successful. The person who daily blames others for their failures and never recognizes their own self-destructive behavior will not be successful.

Whoever recognizes their own behavior can make a happy home. The individual who comes to recognize their own mistakes can correct them and be successful in life.

Criticism is useless because it hurts the pride of others and provokes resistance. In the same light criticism provokes an inevitable reaction against its author. If you truly want to succeed, listen to this advice: "Thou shalt not criticize anyone". The person who knows how to live without criticizing, does not provoke resistance or reactions on the part of his fellow man, and consequently, creates an atmosphere of success and progress. On the other hand, those who do criticize others, have many enemies.

The world is full of critical people. The criticizing type is a faultfinder, irritable
In addition, intolerable. There are many other signs of this bad behavior: impatience, anger, egotism, arrogance, pride, etc. These people are called neurasthenic.
Every person who wants to succeed should be careful of falling into the danger of neurasthenia. The neurasthenic person criticizes everything and becomes unbearable. The neurasthenic despises patience.

As an employer they become the executioner of their employees. Workers who must work under the orders of a neurasthenic and faultfinding employer end up hating the job and the employer. No discontented worker works their best under diress. Many times enterprises fail because the workers are discontented, dissatisfied and does not work efficiently because of the criticism they must endure.

On the other hand neurasthenic workers seek any occasion to criticize their employer. Employers have pride and vanity too, and it is obvious that they feel offended when their employees criticize them. The worker who is constantly criticizing their employer ends up losing their job.

We can conclude, then, that the one who criticizes others inevitably fails. The one who wants to correct others should best begin by correcting themselves. This gives better results and is less dangerous. Take care of your self. Work well but play well and get plenty of rest. Enjoy yourself wholesomely. Do not criticize anyone, but yourself. Try to see the best in all human beings. Take responsibility for your actions and you will soon have a happy healthy life.

The Ultimate Guide to The Ultimate Diet.

There’s much ado about diets and diet plans lately. For those worried about their weight, here is the perfect diet plan for any person who knows how to read and write. This plan allows you to eat whatever you want, and not only help you lose weight and become healthier, it will also only cost you about three bucks.

From the beginning: what is a diet? The dictionary defines it as "what a person usually eats". In the context that we are looking for it is what you eat as a way to lose weight. So, what’s the hard part? Sticking to it. (Well, no wonder.) There are so many diet plans out there it’s getting ridiculous. There are diets named after oceans, large bodies of water, states, countries, geographical features and even a few named after languages. Yes, there are a few named after some person, but most of those people died early due to health conditions… Obviously, most of those diet plans were a way to make money for the author. With all these diet plans I am surprised anybody even tries one.

Well, I am here to help. This plan is simple but hard as hell. It’s going to require you to be honest with yourself. You would be surprised at the number of people who lie to themselves. Then, again maybe not. If you are one of them then it is time to stop kidding yourself and learn to be brutally honest with yourself.

"What’s the plan already? When is this person going to quit rambling about other stuff and tell us the plan?" OK, I hear you. It is a simple plan with only two rules.
Before I start you must make a solemn promise to follow the plan and obey the two rules without fail. Do you promise? Good! Here it is: Write down everything before you eat it.
You’re probably wondering, where is this plan? Go back and read the last sentence of that last paragraph. Eat whatever you want, but you have to write it down first. If you do not write it down you cannot eat it.

Of course, a little common sense is required here. Just because some person said you could eat whatever you wanted doesn’t mean you should eat stuff that’s bad for you. For example: rat poison. The clue to this is the word "poison". Obviously this is not good for you, so don’t eat it. If you do you are too stupid to live anyway. Just because somebody said you could eat anything, are you going to go to the nearest pasture pick up some fresh dung and take a big bite? A little common sense here; do not eat it if it is bad for you. Duh!

All right time to get started. Go to your local store and buy a pocket notebook and a pen. This will set you back less than three bucks. Take them everywhere you go. There are two rules to this diet:

Rule number one—you can’t eat it until you have written it – In other words you have to write it down first, then you can eat it. Absolutely no exceptions. If you can’t write it down you can’t eat it. To be able to eat anything you want you have to write it in your book first. What if there is a nice candy bar right in front of you but you left your book upstairs. Too bad, so sad! You can NOT eat it until you have written it down. So go back get your book and write down candy bar, then eat away. You left your book at home and went to work, you say? Well, your going to be hungry when you get home. You may not eat and write it down later; you have to write it before you eat it. Stick to this rule and be tough to yourself until you absolutely write down everything you eat.

Rule two—do not drink anything until you have written it first – That includes everything, water, soda, tea, etc. If you are going to drink it write it down first. This has one exemption. If you are really thirsty and drink only water then you may write this down as soon as you can. If you want a soda, you have to write it before you drink it; the exemption is for water only.

Let’s get a few details out of the way. Every day is a new page. Put the days date at the top of the page. Be brutally honest with yourself; write down everything you want to eat before you eat it. The first week you do this you may be general. For example you get up and eat a bagel for breakfast. Write bagel in your book. If you eat candy you can write candy. Do this every day for a week. You will see how easy it has become.

Next week, write details. Let’s use that bagel example again. You had one for breakfast but it had cream cheese and cherry jelly. So this week write down bagel with cream cheese and jelly. If you eat candy be specific like "name" candy bar, or "name" lemon sours. For everything you eat gets a separate entry. Your plate at dinner had meat, potatoes, and pie with ice cream. Do not just write dinner. Be a bit more detailed and list them as I have. Add any other details like gravy or butter, and so on. If you are eating your second or third candy bar make sure you write candy bar again, don’t just put a check mark next to the first entry.

What’s next after those two weeks? Go back to your book and look at what you eat and drink. You will see that you probably didn’t need to eat all that food, or If you drank twelve sodas a day, you now know it and can cut back on soda. One less per day until you get to one or two a day, not twelve. Same thing all the way. Cut back what you are eating too much of. You do this by being strict with yourself and writing down what you are about to eat.

Here is where the diet is going to help you to lose weight. You have developed enough self-control that you write it before you eat it. Now look at what you have eaten before you write your next entry. Have you already had six candy bars? Do you really need a seventh? Learn to walk away. This will help you not have to write so much and soon you will notice your pants are getting loose and are starting to fit without binding.

You’ll start feeling better about yourself as you have developed self-control and have been honest with yourself. Become a conscious being concerning your diet, and you won’t have to try anything else. (Unless a doctor orders you to) So, be faithful to yourself; write it before you eat it.

The Law of Karma

This Law supposedly originated in the orient and thus its name is more familiar in eastern philosophies than in western. The word karma is known in the Orient and to millions of people in the entire world. Many people know of it and the theory of karma.

Karma is the law of reciprocation. It has been said many different ways. Examples are “you reap what you sow”, “what goes around comes around”, and “you get what you give”. The best I have ever heard is “your future is caused by your choices” and “you pay what you owe and get paid what you earn”.

Like it or not this law is universal. That’s right, this law operates in the whole universe. It affects everyone all the time. What people aren’t realizing is that it is not just actions that cause reactions; it is also your thoughts. If you misuse the power of thought, the Law of Karma will fall upon you and you will be horribly punished. Punished is such a limited word, to explain a bit better; you will be subject to the opposite that you desire. I am not saying that terrible ray of Cosmic Justice will inevitably fall upon you like a ray of vengeance. What I am saying is that you will attract undesirable circumstances and situations.

Everything you do should be done for the greater good. Not just for yourself, but for you and yours. This means for all people that are affected by your existence. You should do and think such that all around you benefit as well as yourself, not just yourself. Realize that everything you do and think has an effect. If you do good things you get good things, if you do wrong, you get bad.

If you want to be surrounded by good circumstances, then recognize the good qualities of others. Stimulate the good qualities of your fellows, do not humiliate anyone, and do not despise anyone. It is necessary to encourage each other. By means of appreciation and encouragement we can awaken enthusiasm in all those people that we affect.

“The sincere appreciation of the merits of one’s fellowman is one of the greatest secrets of success”. Samael Aun Weor

One of the first things to do is to stop the bad habit of talking about ourselves at every moment. You should abandon the terrible habit of talking about yourself and telling the story of your life at every turn. Talking about yourself all the time makes you unbearable. Then people begin to avoid you. Persons like this fall into misery because people become tired of them. Stop seeking sympathy and give praise to your circle of friends and family. It is good to strengthen and encourage the good qualities of our associates

The next thing to do is stop say “I;” always say “we.” The term “we” has more cosmic power. The term “I” is egotistical and tires all those who are exposed to us. The “I” is a creator of conflicts and problems. Always repeat: “we, we, we.” This strengthens the bond between you and yours.

Start giving praise and soon you will receive it in return. This is the perfect example of karma at work. Try it you will like it.

To borrow a bit more from Samael Aun Weor;
“Every morning before getting out of bed, with force and energy say, ‘We are strong. We
are rich. We are filled with luck and harmony. Om, Om, Om.” Recite this every day and you will soon see that you will be prosperous in everything”.

It works, and like everything, it is part of our karma. Send out positive and you will receive positive. Imagine seeing happy faces everywhere you go. Imagine that people are happy to see you coming. That people will cross the street to meet you. Wouldn’t that be a great place to be?

The Power of Small

Article used with permission.

Routinely, I rise out of bed before the birds, and watch the sunlight flood my office every morning. See, I love this time of day! But what I don't love is being rudely rousted out of a deep sleep before my normal rise and shine time, and every day for the past few months I have been.

I sleep with the windows open, and at around 4:00 each and every morning, rain or shine, there has been this very obnoxious bird "somewhere" closeby screeching his mating call at what seems like 130 decibels! Many times I've wearily peered out to be able to witness first hand what sounded like a terodactyl-size creature on some kind of steroids. But never would this clever 'lil creature reveal himself!

I appreciate nature as much as the next person, but this large sound at this wee hour of the morning is not music to my ears! In one agitated state my fine-feathered foe put me in, I thought about locating a 'sportsman' in the neighborhood to take him out, but that was only wishful fantasizing. Besides, I don't believe in 'the sport of hunting.' By now though, I've gotten pretty used to my tree dwelling alarm and looking on the positive side of this situation, could even thank him for the extra hour of work I am able to put in every day.

One day last week, I was pounding away on my laptop on the front porch swing, when lo and behold - THAT PIERCING SOUND AGAIN! And it was NEAR! Imagine my surprise when after peeking out from under the canopy, perched on the telephone line above was this teeny weenie finch, smaller than my prized canary, warbling away what was really a beautiful anthem, at least heard at this normal hour of the day.

Oh my, the power of small! Now, may I ask: How many times in your life have you thought that you were "too small" to make a difference? How many times has this thought actually stopped you from doing something you knew in your heart was worthwhile? Perhaps something like changing careers, starting a new business, creating your own product or even buying that dream home. Like me, I bet plenty of times! Think about this. Every great achievement in this world had it's roots as a single thought in the mind of a single human being.

There's no exception - the greatest inventions, the biggest corporations and the tallest skyscrapers were all borne of the single idea of one individual! The difference between most of us and the Henry Ford's and Bill Gates of this world is the total self-belief and conviction in their ideas to just "build it!" No matter the size, no matter the scope, no matter the naysayers around them. And, knowing full well that the road to achieving their goal was going to be paved with major set-backs and failures.

Here's one of my favorite quotes about achievers:"There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other."Douglas EverettYou've heard many of the stories about the above 'icons' and people like Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison and Ghandi. Their journeys were filled with great adversity, devastating setbacks and yes, heartbreaking failures. But still, because of the sheer level of belief in themselves and what they set out to achieve, they were able to leave a legacy that today affects every one of us, every hour of every day. There are also the names you will never hear, unless you really look around at what is going on very near to you in your life. You are sure to know some of the millions of everyday people who have made magnificent differences in their lives and the lives of those around them.

Take for instance, the single mother who was reluctantly forced onto the welfare rolls due to a deadbeat dad, and pounds the pavement until she lands a job, determined to excel, and works her way up the ladder until she ends up with a wonderful career to the benefit of herself and her family. Or, the foreign medical student whose family sacrificed their entire lives in order to send their child to a 'free country' to get an education, who, through sheer determination graduates at the top of his class but decides not to chase the almighty big bucks that await him in the 'land of promise' but instead returns to his homeland so that he may help alleviate the dire suffering of the people in his native land.

Or, how about the countless entrepreneurs who have taken a single idea and no matter what obstacles they faced, and the many sacrifices they had to make, created successful businesses with products that impacted thousands or even millions of people! I am privileged to know SO many individuals who have accomplished great things only because of the great belief they had in themselves and their ideas.

As such, I firmly believe that EVERY human being, no matter where they believe they are at on this roller coaster ride we call life, CAN accomplish great things. As strange as this may seem at this time, I can tell you with all the sincerity I possess, that this great universe of ours awaits your simple and sincere decision, so that it can begin to fill you with all the power you need to make your dream a reality. It's a matter of truly making that decision and then opening yourself up to receiving that invisible assistance." The Creator has not given you a longing to do that which you have no ability to do." Orison Swett Marden.

Now back to my miniscule, winged friend. On cue, and still prior to daylight, he shakes me out of my peaceful slumber. He knows nothing else. No other way. He just cranks it up at enormous volume at nature's call, oblivious to the fact he is impacting me on a major scale and does the only thing he was designed to do. How we all should be, don't you agree?
