Avoiding Impulse Spending

Answer these questions truthfully:

1.) Does your spouse or partner complain that you spend too much money?

2.) Are you surprised each month when your credit card bill arrives at how much more you charged than you thought you had?

3.) Do you have more shoes and clothes in your closet than you could ever possibly wear?

4.) Do you own every new gadget before it has time to collect dust on a retailer’s shelf?

5.) Do you buy things you didn’t know you wanted until you saw them on display in a store?

If you answered “yes” to any two of the above questions, you are an impulse spender and indulge yourself in retail therapy.

This is not a good thing. It will prevent you from saving for the important things like a house, a new car, a vacation or retirement. You must set some financial goals and resist spending money on items that really don’t matter in the long run.

Impulse spending will not only put a strain on your finances but your relationships, as well. To overcome the problem, the first thing to do is learn to separate your needs from your wants.

Advertisers blitz us hawking their products at us 24/7. The trick is to give yourself a cooling-off period before you buy anything that you have not planned for.

When you go shopping, make a list and take only enough cash to pay for what you have planned to buy. Leave your credit cards at home.

If you see something you think you really need, give yourself two weeks to decide if it is really something you need or something you can easily do without. By following this simple solution, you will mend your financial fences and your relationships.

Why we Live

What really happened during creation Creation, This is from my Uncle Marlin who lives in the great state of Texas.

On the first day, God created the dog and said: "Sit all day by the door
of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I
will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said: "That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten
years and I'll give you back the other ten?"
So God agreed.

On the second day, God created the monkey and said: "Entertain people,
do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I 'll give you a twenty-year
life span."
The monkey said: "Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long
time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?"
And God agreed.

On the third day, God created the cow and said: "You must go into the
field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves
and give milk to support the farmer's family For this, I will g ive you
a life span of sixty Years."
The cow said: "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty
years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?"
And God agreed again.

On the fourth day, God created man and said: "Eat, sleep, play, marry
and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years."
But man said: "Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty,
the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten
the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God, "You asked for it."

So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy
ourselves. For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our
family. For the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the
grandchildren. And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and
bark at everyone.

The Secrets Of Honey and Cinnamon

better. I have used a few of these recipes and they work. The ones I have personally used I tell you. The rest are for you if you need them.

It has been found through the ages that a mixture of Honey and Cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Many people of today also accept honey as an effective medicine for all kinds of diseases. Honey can be used without any side effects for many kinds of diseases.

Today's science says that although honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients. Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada, on its issue dated 17 January, 1995 has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by Honey and Cinnamon as researched by western scientists:

HEART DISEASES:
Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack. Also those who already had an attack, if they do this process daily, they are kept miles away from the next attack.

Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.

ARTHRITIS:
Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast. They found that within a week, 73 patients out of the 200 people so treated, practically were totally relieved of pain and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

TOOTHACHE:
Make a paste of one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and five teaspoons of honey and apply on the aching tooth. This may be applied 3 times a day till the tooth stops aching.

CHOLESTEROL:
Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10% within 2 hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken 3 times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:
Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for 3 days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold and clear the sinuses. I have used this recipe and it worked for me.

UPSET STOMACH / INDIGESTION:
Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root, relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals.. I don’t know about the ulcer part but, 3 tbsp of honey with a shake of cinnamon on each one does stop my stomach “distress”.

GAS:
According to the studies done in India & Japan, it is revealed that if honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM:
Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacteria and viral diseases.



INFLUENZA:
A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ingredient which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

LONGEVITY:
Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Take 4 spoons of honey, 1 spoon of cinnamon powder and 3 cups of water and boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup, 3 to 4 times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age. Life spans also increases and even a 100 year old, starts performing the chores of a
20-year-old.

PIMPLES:
Three tablespoons of Honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.

SKIN INFECTIONS:
Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

WEIGHT LOSS:
Daily in the morning ½ hour before breakfast on an empty stomach and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one-cup water. If taken regularly it reduces the weight of even the most obese person.
Also, drinking of this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

CANCER:
Recent research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully.
Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month 3 times a day.

FATIGUE:
Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens, who take honey and cinnamon power in equal parts, are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton, (who has done research,) says “that a half tablespoon honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder”. He continues, “taken daily after brushing and in the afternoon at about 3:00 p.m. when the vitality of the body starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body within a week”.

BAD BREATH:
People of South America, first thing in the morning gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

HEARING LOSS:
Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts restore hearing

COUGH:
A cup of HOT tea with three tbsp of honey, one tbsp cinnamon, one shot whiskey. Sip and hold in mouth to let it slowly go down throat. Relieves most coughs quickly. This one I can vouch for as I have used it.

Imagine discovering a way to get rid of your fears in a
quick and painless manner. In fact it can even become fun!

Did you know only two of all the fears you have are innate:
The fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Most of
your fears were learned in early childhood and then in later
life under stressful conditions.

Traditional therapeutic approaches would probably have you
trying to figure out where your fear originally came from.
Maybe they'd have you digging around in your childhood
memories, recalling times you ate the next-door neighbours
purple Tulips. This type of approach tends to associate the
client into reliving unpleasantness and can take a long time
to achieve useful results. Personally I think this style is
way out of date and bordering on torture.

You'll probably be glad to know we're not going to be doing
anything like that. The truth is you can easily and quickly
undo the learnings that created specific fears and change
your responses to something much more useful.

So just how do fearful feelings occur then? Well lets use a
common example: Fred wants a raise and he's been wanting to
ask his boss for months. Finally he decides to go and ask.
BUT when he starts the walk down the corridor he starts to
feel certain sensations in his body. Weird stomach feelings.
His breathing is constricted. Slight sweating on parts of
his body. His vision is effected. Fred decides to turn back
and then sits down feeling slightly annoyed with himself.

His body started producing 'fear chemicals.' What happened?

"Well it was because he defied his Dad one time when he was
four. Let's explore those forgotten memories...."

NO! NO! NO! Let's do something much smarter and definitely
more fun.

Hey Fred come over here I want to show you something really
cool! O' come on, pick your lip up.

You know how before you got up to go and ask the boss for a
raise, you felt OK right? So between the time you got up and
started walking something happened. Something triggered
those feelings in you. Here's a fact for you: You either
made a picture in your head or talked to yourself in a way
that created those fearful sensations and that happened at
an unconscious level out of your awareness.

"OK Colin that might be true but so what, what's your
point?"

Well the point is by changing the internal sounds, pictures
and voices in your head you can begin to gain control of
your emotions.

"Fair enough but how can I do that so when I'm in a similar
situation I automatically make useful pictures, sounds and
voices in my head so I remain in a resourceful state?"

Good question, here's just one way you can achieve the
results you want using a simple and powerful tool from the
field of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

1.Think of a situation where you feel fear.

2.Dissociate: See yourself in the situation like you would a
movie with you in it.

3.Imagine running the memory from the END of the fearful
situation, BACKWARDS to the START. Do this very fast in less
then 1 second!

4.Think of some music that makes you feel the opposite of
fear. For example soothing classical music makes you feel
relaxed. Perhaps certain rock or dance music makes you feel
energised/courageous etc.

5.Now hear the music, nice and loud, inside your mind whilst
looking at yourself going through the situation from START
to END.

6.Break state. Now think of the situation you choose in Step
1 and notice how your fearful feelings have diminished.

7.What will you see or hear just before you want this new
feeling to set in?

How To Use The Law of Attraction

There are people all over the place proclaiming about this "new" law of attraction. They all give you bits and pieces of the law, but never any real practical advice.

As you know, advice is cheap. It's all over the place, just waiting for someone to listen. So you listened but were left wanting. What you really need is an actual method to use. A "How To" course or an owners manual.

Well allow me to help a bit.

When learning the Law of Attraction and how to apply it, it is often better to start with something believable in order to gain confidence in the process, and then progress to greater things. In other words start small, and then grow bigger as you learn. In reality nothing is impossible for us, but due to our conditioning from society, it is understandable that many of us believe that attracting anything is just some sort of crazy whim.

So starting with smaller things is a good way to gain confidence in the Law of Attraction process. Lets start with the simplest task of all: The parking space. Next time you head off for a store for whatever reason, say this to yourself. "I command that there be a parking spot near the entrance door just for my car". As you drive there, just have a bit of confidence that it will be there, waiting for you. If you start having doubting thoughts stop yourself and command again. When you get there you will have a spot open for you to park in. It may be the second spot instead of the first but there will be a parking space for you. As you park say "Thank you for this parking space". You have to be grateful when you get what you desire, so that you can receive more of your desires. Failing to be grateful stops the chain, and you soon find yourself wanting instead of receiving.

So now you need to make the commitment to attract something "believable" into your life, and once you have succeeded; move onto greater things. Once you get good at getting that first parking spot move on to the next easy task. Let's say that the item you were going for is on sale, even if it's not advertised. Eventually you will gain the knowledge that replaces faith and you will become successful.

It is crucial to have faith in The Law of Attraction. Success with the Law of Attraction is all about Knowing beyond doubt. Feeling the emotions associated with it and above all, Gratitude for enjoying the object of your desire.

Now you ask about money. Allow me to explain a proper attitude towards "money". The main difference between rich and poor people is poor people think money is something you have or do not have. Rich people think money is something you do.

To say this another way so it sinks in. Poor people worry about their lack of money. They do not treat money the same way as you treat a pet. A pet is something you take care of, and there are certain tasks that come along with pet ownership. So it is with money. It is not something you can truly own. Money comes with responsibility and you have to take care of it. While rich people concern themselves with their task at hand and only use money as a score card. If they are doing things right the money comes in. If not then no money, so they change what they are doing to something else.

There are lots of ways to earn money, but that is not what this is about. This is about manifesting. It is much better to focus on "things" you desire rather than on the money to "buy" them with.

The Universe is like the ultimate store which stocks absolutely everything you can imagine and everything in this store is free for the asking. There's the catch: You have to ask. If you want something from this shop you only have to ask for it and you shall receive, every time, providing you ask and receive in accordance with the workings of The Law of Attraction.

Try this experiment. It is easy. Think about having a blue pen. (Or your favorite color). Think about that blue pen all day. If you find your mind wandering bring it back to having a blue pen. Do not worry about how the pen will come to you. Only focus on having that blue pen. Usually by the end of today, tomorrow at the latest, you will have a blue pen. Don't worry about how it came to you. Just realize that you wanted a blue pen, and now you have one. Remember to be thankful that the blue pen materialized into your life.

Unfortunately many people wish for money, and cannot understand why they can never acquire it. The reason for this is focusing on lack instead of focusing on abundance. People wish for money but worry about bills. Therefore, the universe lovingly responds by granting to you more of what you think about. Wishing for money will not attract money if you are continuously thinking about debt or lack. A great many people focus on debt, and the more they focus on debt the more debt they attract, and the more they focus on debt, then the more they get, and… So you see it is a snowball effect. Once it gets rolling, it gets bigger.

Many false beliefs will keep you poor. Beliefs like you have to work hard to acquire it, or that money is hard to get. Have you heard the one about money not growing on trees? (Bet you have) Having beliefs like these are very powerful beliefs and vibrations that are guaranteed to keep a person holding those beliefs "broke"…

Everyone without exception can enjoy an infinite flow of wealth and happiness, if only they start to think about the right things. The Universe is an infinite supply of well-being and abundance that we either allow or deny. You must make a conscious choice. Do you like being broke and poor? If not then stop thinking about it all the time. Start thinking about the good things you desire in life.

When you have negative thoughts, attitudes and feelings, You attract bad things into your life. Take responsibility for yourself and stop blaming it on such notions as luck, chance, fortune, circumstances, or on other people. The reason people do not do this, stems from not knowing or understanding The Law of Attraction. If you maintain positive thoughts and realize that you create your own reality, then wealth would arrive in abundance.

Do whatever you need to do to put the lack of money out of your mind completely. Now focus on abundance instead. Think abundance, talk abundance and behave abundance at all times, and abundance will become your reality. We always receive what we think about, focus on and send the most emotional energy to. Realize this; your thoughts are vibrations. So only think about, focus on and send out vibrations that are in absolute harmony with your desires.

Now start manifesting. Begin with parking spaces and pens and graduate to bigger and better things. I leave you with this quote from Lance Armstrong; “I guess if a person never quit when the going got tough then they wouldn't have anything to regret for the rest of their life”.

Money

Why has money assumed such an importance in our lives?
Do we depend on it for our own psychological happiness?
All human beings need food, clothing and shelter. These are the facts of life. So why is it that these basic needs, which are so natural and simple for even the birds, has become so important with levels of meaning? I once saw a bumper sticker on a high end SUV that read: “He who dies with the most toys, Wins”.

Money has assumed such an exaggerated value because we psychologically depend on it. Money nourishes our personal vanity, gives us social prestige, and gives us the means to achieve power. We need money to have food, clothing and shelter; that much is obvious. However when we have a psychological need for money, when we depend on it to obtain fame, prestige, social position, etc., then money assumes an exaggerated importance and this is where the struggle and the conflict to possess it originates.

It is logical that we have a need to obtain money to satisfy our physical needs. But if we depend on money exclusively for our own happiness and personal satisfaction, then we are the most wretched beings in the universe.

Money in itself is not good or bad; everything depends on the use we make of it. If we
use it for good, it is good. If we use it for evil, it is evil. We need to comprehend in depth the true nature of sensation and satisfaction. The mind that wants to arrive at the truth should be free of these obstacles. If we truly want to be free, we must learn the difference and sum of sensation and satisfaction. We must begin with those sensations that are familiar to us and establish a base foundation. Sensations have their suitable place and when we comprehend them profoundly in all the levels of the mind, they do not assume that stupid distortion they now have.

The human being is very poor internally and that is why he has a need for money to possess things for his own stimulation and personal satisfaction. When one is poor internally, externally he seeks money and things to complete himself and to find satisfaction. That is why money has assumed a disproportionate value and the human being is prepared to steal, to exploit, and to lie at every instant. The struggle between employers and employees, between exploiters and the exploited, etc., is due to that.

All political changes are useless if we do not understand our own internal poverty. Economic systems can change again and again, the social system can be altered again and again, but if we do not learn the nature of our inner poverty, the individual will always create new ways and means to obtain personal satisfaction at the expense of others.

It is urgent that we understand the inner nature of self, to be internally wealthy. Those who are internally rich are not capable of exploiting their fellowman. Yes, even
incapable of stealing and lying. Whoever is internally wealthy is free of the obstacles of personal satisfaction and sensation. Whoever is internally wealthy has found happiness.

Not to sound confusing but we do need money. We need to be able to comprehend our exact relationship with it. We need to know what our exact relationship with money is. It is not through renouncing money, nor coveting it, that we can understand our exact relationship with it. We need this comprehension to intelligently recognize our own material needs without disproportionately depending on money. When we know our exact relationship with money, the pain of detachment and the frightening suffering that is produced by competition ends. We should learn to differentiate between our immediate physical needs and psychological dependence on things. Psychological dependence on material things creates exploitation and slavery.

We need money to cover our immediate physical needs. Unfortunately we put levels on our needs and we become greedy. The internal self wants to become rich externally since
it is poor and miserable. The internal wants to make itself felt, to dazzle its fellowman with material things and money. This then is the secret cause of hatred and the brutalities of this world. This is the cause of war and of all the miseries of this world.

If we want to do away with the pain of the world, we should learn that the world is within our own selves. We think, therefore we are, and we create the world. Really, all individuals live within their own consciousness. The world is within the individual, and only by doing away with the misery that we carry within, will the suffering in the world end. Only by comprehending the complex process in all the levels of the mind can we arrive at experiencing the Great Reality.

So go and earn your money. Do it fairly and with style. Give fair value for what you trade. Earn what you need for the necessities of life. Do not take from others what is theirs. Do not take their share as well as yours; Let everyone earn and keep what they need, and we will all be able to move on to greater pursuits.

Jesus in the Bathroom

I couldn't resist. I love the "Little Johnny" jokes. Here is a good one.

A Sunday school teacher of pre-schoolers was concerned that his students might be a little confused about Jesus Christ. He wanted to make sure they understood that the birth of Jesus occurred a long time ago, that he grew up, etc. So he asked his class, "Where is Jesus today?"Steven raised his hand and said, "He's in heaven!"

Mary was called on and answered, "He's in my heart!"

Little Johnny, waving his hand furiously, blurted out, "I know! I know! He's in our bathroom!"

The whole class got very quiet, looked at the teacher, and waited for a response. The teacher was completely at a loss for a few very long seconds. He finally gathered his wits and asked Little Johnny how he knew this.

Little Johnny replied, "Well, every morning my father gets up, bangs on the bathroom door, and yells: 'Jesus Christ, are you still in there?'"

Changing Your life

In the universe, there is thinking material out of which every single thing is made. It fills every single open space in the universe. An idea that you push into this material makes that very shape of that idea. Thus, the idea becomes reality. So, to do this, you got to get away from the idea of competing, and start focusing on creating, otherwise, you are not in tune with the Big “U”(which some call God) who is always creating and never competing.

You can get in tune with this spirit by always being thankful for all the good things that have been given to you by God. By being thankful, you are joining your mind with God's, and that way you can always stay on the creating field.

You have to get a crystal clear vision of that which you want. Be thankful that you have it (present tense. even if you don't physically have it, you need to be thankful as though you have already received it, to make it a reality) Have complete faith that this which you want is already yours!

It is this faith when joined with the thankfulness that makes the idea a reality! To get what you want, you have to be doing something. You can't just "take up space". You do that by making every single action that you do, in your business, whether for yourself or in the employ of another, a complete success. Do it right the first time with the best possible outcome for every single thing you do.

You have to give everybody that you come in contact with or do business with more use value than what they give you in cash value, or vice versa. Every single deal that you are involved with has to make sure that you, as well as the other party, come out with more than what you started with.

The whole idea is that life is based on the idea of MORE for everybody. How rich you will become is based on these four things: How clear your mental picture is How dead set you are on your REASON for getting rich (it must be done with a purpose. The key here is this: you are gaining your riches for things you CAN USE, not to rub it in somebody else's face. Remember, the LOVE of money is the root of all kinds of evil, but USING money is not evil. But, it must be USED, and not wasted.) How dead set your BELIEF is that you are getting rich. And, last but not least: How thankful you are for all that you receive. This is the end of these lessons. Go back to them often. Master them. Learn them. Teach others, not just in words, but in your very actions! Like I said, Repetition does work, and the more you focus on these lessons, the more you will learn, and the richer you will become!

Chili taster

This is just so funny I had to share it with you. I know it doesn't fit with the content of the site but it is so hilarious. This will makeyou happy. You will laugh so hard it hurts. I had to stop reading it just to breath

The notes are from an inexperienced Chili taster named Frank, who was visiting Texas from the East Coast. Frank: "Recently, I was honored to be selected as a judge at a chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking for directions to the Budweiser truck, when the call came in. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy and, besides, they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, So I accepted". Here are the scorecards from the event:

Judge # 3 -- (Frank) Holy shit, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy.!!!!

Judge # 1 -- Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight jalapeno tang.

Judge # 2--Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.

Judge #3 -- Keep this out of the reach of children. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face.

Chili # 3 Fred's Famous Burn Down the Barn Chili

Judge # 1 -- Excellent firehouse chili. Great kick. Needs more beans.

Judge # 2 -- A beanless chili, a bit salty, good use of peppers.

Judge #3 -- Call the EPA. I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now. Get me more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back, now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting shit-faced from all of the beer.

Chili # 4 Bubba's Black Magic

Judge # 1 -- Black bean chili with almost no spice.Disappointing.

Judge # 2 -- Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili.

Judge # 3 -- I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Is it possible to burn out ones taste buds? Sally, the barmaid, was standing behind me with fresh refills. That 300-lb. bitch is starting to look HOT...just like this nuclear waste I'm eating! Is chili an aphrodisiac!

Chili # 5 Linda's Legal Lip Remover

Judge # 1 -- Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive.

Judge # 2 -- Chili using shredded beef, could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.

Judge # 3 -- My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from the pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off. It really pisses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Screw those rednecks!!

Chili # 6 Vera's Very Vegetarian Variety

Judge # 1 -- Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spices and peppers.

Judge # 2 -- The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb.

Judge # 3 -- My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric flames. I shit myself when I farted and I'm worried it will eat through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that slut Sally. She must be kinkier than I thought. Can't feel my lips anymore. I need to wipe my ass with a snow cone.

Chili # 7 Susan's Screaming Sensation Chili

Judge # 1 -- A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.

Judge # 2 -- Ho hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. I should take note that I am worried about Judge # 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably.

Judge # 3 -- You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't feel a thing. I've lost sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili which slid unnoticed out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava like shit to match my shirt. At least during the autopsy, they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing, its too painful. Screw it, I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch hole in my stomach.

Judge # 1 -- The perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili. Not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.

Judge # 2 -- This final entry is a good, balanced chili. Neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when

Judge # 3 passed out, fell over and pulled the chili pot down on top of himself. Not sure he's going to make it. Poor dude, wonder how he'd have reacted to really hot chili.

The Law of Attraction: Your worst nightmare.

The law of attraction is way over-rated. All around you are all these new guru type people preaching this new gospel about attraction.

You are probably wondering about the law of attraction. Its basic principle is this: Whatever you focus on expands. In other words, think positive thoughts and you attract positive things into your life The problem is that it works in reverse too. Worry and you get more to worry about. If you think something bad will happen and worry about it, then that bad thing will happen.

The sad thing is we have been taught since our youth to be negative. We learned at an early age to worry about stuff. We watched our parents argue about not enough money and were told that it was normal. We learned to expect crap and live with crap and be crap. Like all skills, the more you practice, the better you get. We are experts at worry and low expectations. If we think something bad will happen, then by-golly it does. We are fantastic at manifesting our own crap. We are good at maintaining our poverty. We are gurus when it comes to having bad stuff happen to us. Most of us can tell a story of some heartbreaking mis-adventure. When we do those who listen agree and tell us that’s just the way life is. We have been told to get a job and be useful to society. Most of us have. However we have backbreaking hard jobs that we are told to work hard at, as hard work is the way to success. That is the law of attraction at work.

Aren’t you starting to get tired of working hard for a living only to barely make ends meet? If hard work is the way to success and riches then construction workers should be the richest people in the world.

Then there are the criminals. Why are they criminals? They want something different than a job; 40 years of work and then retire (maybe) grow old and die. They too have been taught that life is not fair, take what you get or get nothing. They have been shown how to have low self-esteem and instead of using their natural entrepreneurial skills to start a business they figure out how to commit crimes instead. They do not value other people or themselves enough to try to give value to their lives. Instead they try to take it rather than make it. They refuse to take responsibility for themselves and their actions. Thus becoming a criminal. That is the law of attraction at work.

Then there are the people with other problems. Alcoholism, drug addiction, obesity, neurosis, phobias, and so on. They too have been taught wrong. They can’t help it, they are victims. They do not know how to think of the right things. All they worry about is the next fix, the next drink, and so on. So their miserable lives continue to be miserable. That is the law of attraction at work.

People who talk about conspiracy theories are right. There is a great conspiracy. The universe wants to give us what we want. Most of us call the universe God. God wants to give us what we want. How does God know what we want? By listening to our thoughts! What we think about is what we get. That is the law of attraction.

Think about stuff and it happens. Unfortunately we have not been taught the right way. We have learned the negative, the wrong way to think. We expect life to be hard and cruel, and that is exactly what we get. We think money is something we either have or do not have. We worry about having enough money to pay the bills. That’s what we get, barely enough to pay the bills. That is the law of attraction at work.

It is a nightmare. We attract crap because we think crap and then we wonder why. Here is another bitter pill to swallow. When we complain "how can God do this to us?" We are only attracting more crap. Its not fair and we don’t have to put up with it.

We can take control of our lives. We can make our lives better.

So what can we do differently that can change our life so it is no longer a crapload of crap?
The answer is very hard to actually do. It is so hard that most people who read this will not do it. They will make an excuse that they cant for some reason and then continue to have a life of crap.

Remember the words of Henry Ford. "If you think you can or you think you cant, your right".

So what is it? Here it is: Be conscious of your thoughts. That’s right, be aware of what you are thinking. Only think about what you want to happen. Do not think about what you do not want. Whatever you think about, that is what will happen. That is the law of attraction!

The problem is in controlling your thoughts. After years of thinking about all the bad stuff, and making excuses, it will be hard to stop. If you want your life to continue as it has, then do nothing but what you are doing now. However if you want to see changes then you must teach yourself to think a different way. You must teach yourself to think only about what you do want. That is the law of attraction.

You must teach yourself to not complain. The more you complain the more you get to complain about. You must teach yourself to not worry about your fears or they will come into your reality. Instead of complaining and worrying, try to give compliments to people and change what you worry about. Wouldn’t it be great to worry about paying too much taxes? I think it would be better to think about paying ten grand in taxes than think about only earning ten grand. If you are paying ten grand in taxes you have made way more than ten grand in income.

Start thinking about what you want. Whenever you start the old "woe is me" again, stop and think about that resort vacation instead. Correct thinking is thinking about your dreams, goals, and helping other people. Once you have mastered correct thinking, the law of attraction can help you achieve anything you desire.

It takes some time to be aware of your thoughts and then a bit longer to learn to control your thoughts. You must make the effort. If you just try a little every day, you will soon find it easier and easier to think positive. Can you try to have just one positive thought every day? Once you find this positive thought is easy to do, then you can work on the next thought. Work every day on replacing your thoughts with good thoughts. If you catch yourself thinking about something bad, STOP. Then think something good. This is how you control the law of attraction.

The law of attraction works weather you want it to or not. Its like gravity, it works all the time and affects everyone equally. You might as well use this for your advantage instead of letting it use you. Let us plot together, how can we make this darn law of attraction work for us?

The first thing we need to do is remember our dreams. When you were a kid did you want to grow up to be a night shift cashier? On the other hand, did you want to be an astronaut? Now realize that its not too late you can be whoever you want to. You can still be what you want to be.

The second thing to do is write it down. If you cant do that then find a picture of the thing you want to be. A pilot, a police officer, a firefighter, a business owner, your own lawn service or your own restaurant. What is it you want? Write it down, find a picture, draw a picture, something to bring your dream back to the present. So it is no longer buried in the past.

The next step is to think about it. Put the paper where you can see it everyday. This will remind you of what it is you want from life. Then you need to think about it. What will it feel like when you have it? What kind of clothes will you be wearing? Where will your home be? Will you have your own truck or car, or will you be in a limo? Think about it every day. When you find yourself with nothing to do like waiting in line, then think about your dream. When you catch yourself starting to worry about something, worry about your dream instead.

When you take these steps you will see your life changing. Miracles will soon be common in your life. You will meet people who can help you, circumstances that are favorable, and the whole thing will start to come together. Your life will change when you change what you think about.

So change your thoughts. Stop thinking about bad things and think of good things. Try it you’ll like it.
